Applying Propp to TV crime drama
Applying Propp to Riverdale.
Hero- Archie, because in all 3 seasons he is the main part who acts and investigates the crime, and wont rest until he solves these crimes. He also ends up with the Princess, Veronica.
Villain- The villain is Hiram Lodge a dodgy criminal, He is completely against Archie and has gone to extreme measures to make Archie look the villain and attempt to put his heroic actions to shame.
Dispatcher- The hero is provoked to go on the quest by, the black hood, an anonymous man who wanted to make the town of Riverdale a living hell.
Donor- The donor is Kevin, son of the sheriff, he usually tells him some confidential key information about the crime to help him complete solving these crimes.
Princess- The princess is Veronica, a girl who all she wants is for her and Archie to be happy but they are going through a rough stage due to her father, Hiram putting there relationship at stake, and so he needs to defeat her father before living happily ever after with Veronica.
Father of the princess- Hiram, also the villain, the criminal.
The false hero- Hiram, the villain, is also the false hero as he sets Archie up to failure and puts his heroic actions upon himself, and make sure everyone thinks he is the hero. Although he doesn't marry veronica or end up with her on a romantic level, He wants to take her away from Archie and set there relationship up to fail.
The helper(s)- The helpers are, Betty and Jug-head, they are with him every step of the way, although Archie will put them first in any situation.
